I have DT Register set up on my test site. Most of it works beautifully, but I have 2 problems that I have not found the answers for on the forum or in the tutorials (which were most helpful).
My first problem is that the event start time is showing incorrect. In JEvents “Global Configuration” I have the time zone set for US/Eastern. In JEvents “Edit Event” on the calendar tab my Start Time is 7:00 am. In DT Register the event time shows 11:00 am. Please tell me where I went wrong.
My second problem is that registrant’s conformation email is not being sent. I have tested it several times. I am sure I have just missed something in the setup.
I really love this component and I hope you can help exterminate my bugs.
Hello. First, do you have version 2.6.7a or 2.6.7?? In the list of installed components, you will see this. If you have 2.6.7a you shouldn't have the time zone issue. If you do, let us know in a ticket if you haven't already.
Second, the email issue is most likely due to email problems within your joomla mail configuration, not DT Register. When someone registers, two emails should be sent... one to the event admin and one to the registrant. Are either being sent?? If neither, then you have a mail configuration issue probably.
After I installed the patch I needed to remove and re-enter my event for the time to display properly.
I am still having a problem with the email. I am not getting the administration email either.
My Joomla Global Configuration Mail Settings uses the PHP Mail Function. I have the “Mail From” set to one of my gmail addresses. SMTP Authentication is set to “No”.
I am using the basic Joomla Contact Component and it works.
