TOPIC: Sequential Numbers 2.6.7

Hi Nathan,
Great to see that the sequential numbers request has got some attention in the latest release 2.6.7. I see that the "Confirmation Starting Number" (and prefix) can be set in the configuration menu, but how is the 'starting number' able to be applied to each event.
eg
Event 1 starting Number = 1
Event 2 starting numer =100
Event 3 starting number = 200

It seems at the moment that all event registrants will get the next sequential number no matter what event it is.
Can this be applied on a per event basis rather than a global basis?

Confirmation number is global... there are no settings to give a different number based on the event. We'll try to work that in soon

Have you implemented starting number per event for sequential confirmation number? I have to make name tags for several events, based sequential confirmation numbers. Thanks to the per-event Custom Confirmation Number Prefix, I can already separate the events. I am using version 2.8.5 now.

Before, I made name tags based on alphabetical orders of the last name. But then, it is too trouble some because many people have same last names and sorting them is very tedious. I think making name tags by the order of sequential confirmation number is better. But the current system does not allow per event ordering of sequential number.

I would like to implement some things like this:

Event A: Starting from 1 (or what ever number), EVNTA-1 ...

Event B: Starting from 1 (or what ever number), EVNTB-1, ....

This way people just go by the number to get the name tags.

I need to have this done quite soon and willing to pay for custom work.
