Love the conditional custom fields possibility; came right at the time I needed another option. Thus I am sure (hopeful) there is a solution to my scenario below:

Scenario:

I have two (or more) different classes (events) that can be registered for using the component. Each event takes a fixed slot in the class; for which there are limited slots available (10 only) for each class at different times/days of the week.

I would like to offer a conditional custom field discount for signing up for two classes AND (this is the part I am not sure about): have DT Register change the available number of slots for each class (reducing available slot inventory) at the point of registration.

Just a little fuzzy that I can set it up and don't want to spend time pushing it to do so, if I am off base at the start of my assumption.

Thoughts?

If you have two completely separate events... there is no way currently to give a discount when the user registers for both classes (that is coming though in 2.7). Also, no way of registering for one event and it modifying the capacity of another event. Here's what I would suggest...

Setup ONE event, then use custom fields to offer the different class options. You could start with a field of "How many classes?". You could put your calculation there so if they are registering for 2, then the price reflects that. Have a custom field (checkboxes) for "Class Selection". You can use selection limits to make sure too many people do not select each class.

Something like that should work fine. I'm sure there are others ways to do it too... the custom field capabilities allow you to go many different directions usually... just think it through and do what fits your needs best.

Thank you! Great thought and idea. Needed a little alternative thinking to get out of my "box"

I look forward to your continued good work.
