Hi,
i can't deactivate google maps.
I don't need it, because it is not allowed in our country, to use it this way. How can i remove it completely?
I tried to switch it of in the backend>dt rgister>eventslist and i deactiveted events location and show google map link. But when i go back to my site i am asked to generate a new google map api key.
How can remove google maps completely? It's really urgent.
kind regards
Jo

Hello. There is no way to deactivate google maps. The only way to not use it is to not use our Locations feature. When you have a location selected, it will attempt to load the address from google maps. That is your only way around it presently.

What do you mean you're not allowed to use it in your country? Never heard of that before. Which country is it?

When you deactivate the google maps link, that removes the link from DT Reg to the Google maps site. That doesn't deactivate the embedded map... only the link. Go into your event setup and remove the selection of any location and then save.

If you ended up leaving this in place, you would just need to go to the google maps api generator (link is provided in the DT Register configuration) and generate an API key for your domain. That would make that popup go away. Thanks.

I told you to open the event, then select no location. Even if you have deleted the locations, open the events and re-save them to make sure no location ID is still attached to it. Also, check the google maps api key in your config. Remove whatever is there.

We have MANY users in Germany and I know they use this feature. No one has ever said anything about it not being legal to use it. I can't read the info you sent, because it is in German.

please submit a ticket so we can check out your site and see what is going on. Did you re-save your events after removing the locations?
