I'm using 2.6.3a.
When users register they receive a confirmation email (and the administer receives a confirmation email) that contains all of the correct data from the registration, including data from custom fields.
However, when I look at an individual record in the admin panel (after payment has been received and the record is added), data for custom fields is not recorded. Then I must view the email receipt so that I can figure out how to manually populate the choices that the user selected in the first place. Please advise.
Thanks.
That is very strange. If the data shows in the emails, it is obviously getting stored. No other reports of custom field data not showing in 2.6.3 have been seen. Please submit a ticket so we can see what's going on.
Just to be sure, you are aware that custom fields do not show in the main list of records... but you have to view/edit the individual records to see custom field data, right??
This could be a browser issue. In the Safari browser for example, I am unable to see messages that have been added and saved for an event but in the mac firefox browser, they are visible and editable. However, the right corner grow tab for the editing window is not functional. I emailed Nathan about this.
Was this fixed? I am having the same problem. Version 2.6.4. One custom field which is a checkbox. When I go on the backend and edit any user's registration, no checkboxes are ever selected. Furthermore, if the selection limit has been reached on an option, the checkbox does not even appear, which on the one hand is understandable, and on the other hand means that admin cannot change their selection and you wouldn't see it had been selected (assuming it showed up as selected in the first place).
I believe this is an issue specific to the checkboxes. If I change this field to a dropdown, then it does show the user selection. However, I need them to be able to select more than one option, so dropdown doesn't work.
I have submitted a ticket for this with further information, my issue is specifically with checkbox/dropdown/radio fields with selection limits in place and selection limits reached.
