TOPIC: Unique sequential confirmation numbers

Hi All,
Purchased this package recently but as yet haven't implemented it into our web site. I have a couple of preliminary questions that I'm hoping someone can answer.

1. Does anyone know if DT Reg is able to be set up to generate unique sequential confirmation numbers when attendees register? If so, how is this implemented.

The charity that I'm going to set this up for intends to have prize draws for different catergories within an event. The unique numbers will be the attendees ticket number and fall within a number range dependant on their category. (e.g. Early birds: 0100-0300; Juniors: 0500-0700; Seniors: 0900-1100). The random number generator used for the draws will be programmed with the sequential number range appropriate to the category draw.

Sorry if this is explained elswhere but I've not been able to find anything specific.

A unique confirmation number is generated for each registration record, but it's not sequential. This number is automatically created, so nothing has to be enabled or setup for that. It shows with the record everywhere, including emails. To make the confirmation number follow any specific system like you are describing would take some code modification.
