Hi!

DT Register and JEvents Club Membership!

I seems that some of the JClub modules are lite duplications of DT Register. Although I see some that are interesting in deepening the use of the calendar.

Do any of these JEvents Club modules work correctly with DT Register. Which ones? Any examples?

Thanks

No JEvents club items are connected to DT Register... nor are they light versions. They have a registration option that is a Joomla 1.5 hack of the old Attend Events component for Joomla 1.0. It's very basic and doesn't have a fraction of functionality that DT Register does. Besides, it's new, it's buggy, etc.

There are some nice templates you can get for the calendar and a couple nice modules, but not sure if it's worth the price. Just an opinion...

Hi!

I think I agree. I was thinking about those other modules. It is way to pricey in my opinion and really does not do what I want.

I am more interested in making a category have subcategories with each sub having a series of events. Which I believe I can do with DT Register.

What I am unsure of is if each sub-event could have a private or separate access code. How would I get to that point with DT Register.

I was thinking of registering for and then having access to training modules in each of the sub events. Is this possible with DT Register in conjunction with a Community Builder or someother permissions extention?

Thanks again.

You can setup prerequisite events in DT Register. By the way, the JEvents registration system (or any other solution for that matter) does not have this ability. Something like this...

To attend subevent, you must have already registered for MainEvent. You can also make it check to see if you've attended or paid for MainEvent. Until the user registers for MainEvent, then will only be able to see but not register for Subevent.

Hi!

I have tried your suggestion. It works nicely.

It would be even better if a box, graphic or "Required" button explained that to the potential attendee. I would also suggest this idea for "Duplicate" registration. That way the customer would not wonder about why they can not register!

Is the only way to this currently a note in the title? (Example: Requires Class 1)

Thank you,

You could put prerequisite details in the event Description, which would show under the event title and buttons on the listing of events.
