TOPIC: [SOLVED] Custom Field - Dropdown Problems

Using 2.6.2. I created 3 custom field dropdown boxes. For example, one is for the states. I entered all 50 states. I have 20+ registration events. Every few days, one of the events does not have the proper dropdown box. For example, one of my events is currently missing the OH for the state of Ohio. And, I run a camp business where the majority of our campers are from the state of Ohio.

Can someone help?

I think I had the same problem... my solution was:

set the Selection Limits to 0|0|0|0 ... instead of 1|1|1|1...

"This will allow you limit how many times each option is able to be selected by a registrant."
So if you use a limit "1" each option can only be selected one time and will then vanish from the drop down list...

robert is correct... you do not have the selection limits set correctly. See the custom fields video tutorial for a more detailed explanation and examples. The selection limit tells how many times each value in the dropdown can be chosen during the course of the event. Once the limit is reached, that option will no longer show.

Great - thank you. The help button on that one needs to be changed in my opinion to be more clear. Instead of "how many times each option can be selected by a registrant" it should read "how many times each option can be selected by ANY registrants. And, it may also want to say "insert a 0 if you want the options to remain available to all registrants."
