TOPIC: Session Attendance (Check In)..possible?

Now that latest version of DTRegister has a field for attendance, here is what I want to do. Please let me know if this is possible.

I want to leverage this information in the database to allow people to check-in at the event (by entering the email they used to register). If the email matched, then they would be marked as "attended".

Any ideas on how this could be achieved easily?

Any pointers appreciated.

There is no frontend check in system at this time.
