Hi,

Thank you for the reply and yes i do tend to agree with you that if paypal has not got the payment then the bank has fallen down and the transactions will go away because of status pending.

However i have again since asked another friend to use their paypal account to login and pay from their account.

When they logged in and clicked on pay they were presented with a internal error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Apache/2 Server at http://**************eu Port 80

Is this a file permissions error

My friend then recieved an email from paypal saying the transaction had gone through.

The final conformation email from dt register did not arrive.

Still awaiting on paypal for my support email.

Do you think personally it is a paypal problem or i might have not got the dt rgister setup correctly?

Regards

David

What you need to try is not a different paypal account to MAKE the payment... but try a different paypal account to RECEIVE the payment. See if that makes a difference. Of course, make sure that recipient account is setup according to the specs we provide... IPN is enabled and Auto-return is OFF.

The url in the IPN settings should just be your main site URL... nothing else specific is needed there. DT Register handles that.

Well,

I am at a total loss.

Cannot seem to track this one down,Ipn settings correct.

I have used another paypal account to pay and also used a different paypal account to recieve.

The payment/tansactions are going through to paypal. Each account is acting has it should the sender and reciever are geting the emails from paypal and the payments are been sent and recieved. However after the pay now/final step button is pressed to make that payment in paypal the internal error is still shown. The final email from dt register is not sent.

In My joomla backend the records of the event have been logged and show paid by paypal.

I am starting to think it is a file permissons problem within dt registermaybe with the email side, have checked files and the permissions seem fine 644 chmod.
Would you concur or do you have any other thoughts.

Hi,

After three hours bounced around paypals automated system in America and then transfered from one person to another i finally got it sorted.

All my problems were down to paypal and an error that transpired whilst setting up the paypal account.

Certain setttings that was changed mainly the website auto return section under profiles was not actually turned off.The setting was showing disabled but this was wrong and was enabled.

Have to say it is very hard to get in touch with paypal, trying to find a contact number is a task in itself but it is actually hidden within their website.

When i finally convinced someone to take the trouble to look they discovered the problem and gave me a fixed time of 24 hours which was actually sorted under 12 hours.

Now to continue with dt register and see what a great script this is.

Thank you all for your imput.

Regards

David
