First off, great component... fairly easy to use and very functional.

We have an event which is charging $45 per person, with a $5 early bird discount. Simple enough to setup and done.

For the same event, we want it so that if 2 people register together, at the per person rate above, then additional people (i.e. the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc.) will pay only $30 (the $5 early bird discount also applies to this to bring it down to $25 per additional person).

How can I do this?

Hello. You can do this with the group rates. Set a 2nd per person rate for 3 people, so 1-2 people will get the original rate, but 3 or more will get the discounted rate. This is standard functionality of DT Register. However you can't add the 2nd group rate without starting the setup over. You can either delete the event and then re-create it with the new rates... or make a copy of the event... whichever is easier for you. Watch the video tutorials to see how the group rate setup is done if you need further details.

thank you for the prompt reply. I have watched the video a few times now and i dont think it is doing what I am asking for.

I want it so that:
1 person pays $45.
2 people pay $45 + $45
3 people pay $45 + $45 + $30
4 people pay $45 + $45 + $30 + $30
5 people pay $45 + $45 + $30 + $30 + $30

so first 2 always pay full $45, and all others after that pay $30. How do I fill out the group discount area to achieve this?

It is not calculated that way. The per person rate can be changed at different group levels, but it applies to all members. So you'd set:

1 = $45/person (will also apply to w people)
3 = $40/person
4 = $37.50/person
5 = $36/person

These items will give you the same total registration price as your calculations, it just spreads the amount equally across all members. Same end result... different display. This is how DT Register handles it.
