TOPIC: Upgrade Joomla 1.0 to 1.5 along with DT Register

Hi,

I may be upgrading a client's site from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5. They're currently using DT Register 2.4.4 I've not upgraded a site from 1.0 to 1.5, but I'm curious as to what I may need to do with DT Register. Any thoughts? (as well as any thoughts on upgrading 1.0 to 1.5!)

Hello. Migrate all existing dtregister database tables into your new 1.5 database. Do not take any of the old 1.0 files for DT Register. Do a fresh install of DT Register 2.5.x. It will load all new files and UPDATE the database. None of your old data will be lost. Any changes to language files, css, etc will need re-applied to the new files. You can't use the old ones. After installing the new version, be sure to go to the Configuration area and check all of the settings as you'll find many new ones... then SAVE the config. This will ensure that all config items have a setting saved in your database.

You'll also need to upgrade JEvents to 1.5.x. We do have a video tutorial for that as it is a little more involved. Thanks!
