I want to change the label from "discount code" to "account code" on the front end form for users.

The file en-GB.com_dtregister.ini

has the line:

DT_DISCOUNT_CODE=Discount Code

that seems to be used to provide the label value in the front end.

I changed "Discount code" to "Account code" at this line on my "dev" version and it seems to have worked. But on my live version I've changed the file, confirmed that the change is made and still it does not change.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

in some other posts it also says that you have to change the same file in the administrator/language folder...which I also did. Just confirmed that both files have the line
DT_DISCOUNT_CODE=Account Code

(where "Account Code" has replaced "Discount code").

But, the front end still shows "discount code".....

I checked the cache on the server (in admin) and it is set to "no"....

For this, the DT_DISCOUNT_CODE does not have to be changed also in the admin language file for the frontend change to take effect. If you have made the necessary change on your site to the language file, saved it, then uploaded it to the CORRECT directory... then there would be no way for the site to still say "Discount Code" instead of Account Code. You must be missing something somewhere... or uploading the wrong file... something. Once you change the language file, DT Register has no other place to pull any type of default text from. Could be a browser cache issue too.

No problem. Glad you got it sorted out! Don't forget to post a review of DT Register on the JED :)
