TOPIC: Required Fields inconsistent CB - DT Register

Fields eg cb_phone marked as not required in CB Field Manager AND DT Configuration/Fields still show red * in USER INFORMATION ( * = required field ) although if cb_phone not entered, no error message is produced on clicking Next Step. Organisation so set doesn't have *. Other fields with * Must be entered. The User can't tell what he has to do and so v difficult to document. CB 1.2.1, brand new DT Register downloaded 13 Jan 2010, all plugins CB and DT installed and enabled.

treb - it seems that you have something confused. The settings in CB for required fields has absolutely nothing to do with DT Register. In the Configuration of DT Register, there is a Fields tab where you select which fields to use in event registration forms... and which fields are required. Check out our video tutorials to see how to properly set everything up.

OK I have just come back now registrations starting.
The field Phone: is marked in DT Register, Configuration, Fields tab as "required NO",for both paid and free events, but red asterisk still appears on registration form against Phone field. No error if no value is given, but it is confusing especially for older, occasional web users.
