TOPIC: Pay Later: marked paid, mail notice to user?

Is there a way for the system to send out a notice telling the user that I have received payment when I check off the not paid/paid button?
In other words, I receive a check in the mail and click "paid" on the back-end. I'd like a "thank you" note to go out confirming that I've received the check.
This would be handy if one receives many checks in a day. Instead of sending out each email by hand.
