TOPIC: some odd things with Paypal...

I am currently using version 2.5.3a of dt register on Joomla 1.5.10

2 things... and if it's something in Paypal, at least it's a start.

when I go to pay in Paypal, I remember I used to be able to pay without making a PayPal account. is that something with Paypal or a setting in DT Register?

Also when payment is done, and I click on return to Merchant I get...

Lastly I noticed that I don't see the records. But I think that's because the transaction has to complete first, correct?

Hello. The ability to pay at PayPal without creating an account is a setting in your PayPal account and has nothing to do with anything in DT Register.

For any errors, you'll need to upgrade. 2.5.3 is very old and that type of issue has long been addressed

If you have no record being created, it would be because the transaction did not complete. In the process, make sure that you have IPN enabled in your account and that you do NOT have auto-return turned on. Thanks.

Are you saying I have to upgrade for it to work? We purchased the older versions awhile ago an had a lot of trouble that basically got fixed... after the event was over. We upgraded to Joomla 1.5 but that was the only version we had and now you want me to pay again so it will work?

Teresa - One, we do not support old releases and two, your license is expired which means that technically your support is over as well. At the time your license expired, 2.5.4 was the current release. 2.5.5 was released about a week later so I’m feeling generous and just emailed you the 2.5.5 package . You will certainly want to get an upgraded license though as no further updates / support will be available. Also the new 2.6 is almost ready for release and is an awesome new package with huge new features… on top of the many new features and fixes that are already released since what you are using. we will be sure to do that. we have other mini events planned and this is a great tool changing the site over to 1.5 will be much better now.
