TOPIC: Paypal notice beats DT reg notice

Hello All,
So, I received a notice from Paypal that someone had paid me for an event, but I had not received any notice from my site. I then sent the person a notice asking them to fill out the forms on the site, etc. About 24 hours later, I received both a registration notice from the site AND a confirmation of payment notice from Paypal.
So, is it normal for DT to delay the notice to me until after paypal has confirmed payment???
It happened again today. I just received a notice that Paypal has received an "order" for my event. No notice from DT yet. No listing of the person signed up yet... I'm going to wait 24 hours before I send this person an email.
I can't really check the system myself as it won't let me use my own paypal account to pay myself. I may have to open a second paypal account for testing.
Has anyone had this experience?

The paypal notice WILL come first as a DT Register record is not created until after the payment is confirmed. However, it should not take 24 hours. DT Register does not delay at all. If you are experiencing this, it has something to do with a configuration somewhere else. I've never heard of a delay like this so I really am not sure what would cause it. The record is created and emails sent after PayPal IPN pings your server to notify the payment was made. There must be something in your server delaying that process.

I'll submit a ticket on this and keep the forum posted on the results.
