Hi all,

I just upgraded to 2.5.8 from 2.5.3 and was wondering if support for JEvents' (1.5.2) recurring events has been implemented. I see we're able to copy events, but forgot if that was 2.5.3 or not (I manually created two events each week anyway). If it's not implemented, is it on the radar or is it an impracticality?

Thanks!

Hey, Copy Event was added in a recent release so you would not have had that before. Recurring events are still not supported, and while we do intend to address that, we are currently working on much bigger and more important items. With the addition of the Copy Event functionality, that really makes the recurring event issue much less of a concern. The copying works very well and enables you to put up a string of "repeat" events very quickly.

pmfji, but recurring events is actually a huge issue for me. I'm planning seminars in alternate weeks throughout the year. Rather than a single stroke of the pen, I need to copy/paste 25 times?

This is something I am dealing with as well - running events that are weekly but require pre-registration, as well as monthly and every 3 weeks. Copy & paste is better than reinventing the wheel but it would help if it integrated with the JEvents recurring setting for sure.

We to have weekly events where it would be great if the system automatically entered these.
Can you give any indication as to when this will be included in DT Register or is it something we may be waiting years for.
