Today I upgraded to 2.5.0. It worked. Then I found the 2.5.1 upgrade and installed it (after uninstalling 2.5.0). Now the Admin interface is entirely disabled. I get a blank screen in Firefox and a server 500 error in IE. Any ideas?
Well, as no one else has reported anything like that, I'm gonna guess it was an install that went bad. Did you try reinstalling?? If that doesn't do it, log a support ticket so we can check it out.
I have the same/similar problem. Today I tried installing 2.5.2 upgrading from 2.4.3 - I uninstalled 2.4.3, installed 2.5.2 with no errors... but the frontend shows no events anymore and on the backend if I go to event management I get:
Table 'joomla_final_2.jos_jevents_vevdetail' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT count(*) FROM jos_dtregister_group_event a INNER JOIN jos_jevents_vevdetail b ON a.eventid = b.evdet_id LEFT JOIN jos_dtregister_categories c ON a.category = c.categoryId ORDER BY c.ordering ,a.eventId , a.ordering ASC , b.dtstart ASCDB function failed with error number 1146
Table 'joomla_final_2.jos_jevents_vevdetail' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT a. * , b.summary, b.dtstart FROM jos_dtregister_group_event a INNER JOIN jos_jevents_vevdetail b ON a.eventid = b.evdet_id LEFT JOIN jos_dtregister_categories c ON a.category = c.categoryId order by a.ordering ASC , c.ordering , b.dtstart ASC LIMIT 0, 10
Is the problem that I need a different version of JEVents? I have 1.4.3 RC2
tom - yes, the old version of JEvents will not work with the 2.5 versions of DT Register. You should watch the video tutorials... read the readme file in the package... etc
You can install the new 1.5RC JEvents with the 1.4.3 still installed. They use a different file and database structure. Then you can migrate the events into the new version. We have a video tutorial that walks through it. Thanks.
Thanks for your smiley sarcasm. I did read the Read Me and I don't remember it mentioning a specific version of JEvents. I will take a look at it again. And I did try to watch your videos, but the audio is painful and I couldn't stand it. Sorry... I'll do better next time.
