Hi. Is it possible to change the labels for some of the fixed fields (e.g. instead of the label reading as \'Zip\', I\'d like it to read \'Postcode\', and with \'state\' I want it to read \'County\')? I do not need to change the backend labels or the variable names in MYSQL, just those on the frontend that customers will see.

Thanks - in anticipation

Yes, just modify the language file found here:

/components/com_dtregister/languages/english.dtregister.php

Search for the text you want to change, make your changes, save and upload the modified file. All done :)

I too want to modify a field label in a registration form. e.g., change State to Province.

I can find no languages sub directory and no english.dtregister.php file in the pathing recommended in previous post:

/components/com_dtregister/languages/english.dtregister.php

I have /components/com_dtregister/dtregister.php in my installation

is this the correct file to modify? What specifically would I modify? Could you please give me an example.

thank in advance - your help would be greatly appreciated
Todd

tsellers - this is an old post and the info is not correct for DT Register after version 2.5. Now, the Joomla 1.5 language structure is used... so there are two files, one for the frontend and one for the backend. They are located in the same place all other component language files are:

FRONTEND: /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_dtregister.ini
BACKEND: /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_dtregister.ini

Be sure to watch our video tutorials too as all info, including this, is included. Thanks!
