I have struggled but succeeded to get Jevents and DT Register up and running. I now am fiddling with the settings and trying it out. There have been a few problems that have kept me from going live with a summer conference registration is that it requires all users to log in to register.

1- Public/private.
Joomla has only been implemented enough to create this registration--the rest of the site has not migrated to Joomla yet. The members of the association would have no idea what the login is about. I want these to be public. The default was already on public. I changed it to private and it required login. I changed it back to public and it still required a login.

I am not using the Jevents calendar in Joomla (on the front end) yet or the \"click here to register\" thing. I put the list of events into a menu that is only viewable to me when I am logged in. From there, I take the links to the events and place those links on text that say \"click here to register online\". It has been the ONLY away I have been able to link (or find) my event registrations.

2- How would I add in a variable amount. If members want 3 T-shirts at the pre-conference price of $15 each, is there a way to do that? I suppose a drop down menu that lists prices for 1-10 shirts and have them select the number of shirts they want (too bad if they wanted 11 shirts). I plan to put in a text box for them to indicate sizes of the shirts if getting shirts.

3- I haven\'t searched the forums yet on this one, but the security code worked fine the first trial, but after that, the image hasn\'t been coming up. Firefox (mac) leaves it off completely. Safari (Mac) indicates an image that didn\'t load. Either way, if the person can\'t see an image, it just is asking for a security code and they don\'t know what it is talking about. I was able to disable the security code, but it would be nice if it worked.

My Specs-
New to Joomla - html coding background
Joomla! 1.5.9 Production/Stable
JEvents v1.4.3 RC2
DTRegister v2.4.2

I think I found the solution for the public/private problem. It was related to this:

Not logged in, I put in http://mysite.com/index.php?option=com_dtregister . I then followed that link and it didn\'t require me to login before registering. I have copied that link and replaced the link I had when I was logged in.
