Due to some people not hitting the return to our site after paying in PayPal, some of our registrations are listed under the Failed attempts, even though they have paid and they think they\'re registered.
So far, I\'ve had to copy their failed info and paste it into a new registration form.
Is there any way to switch a failed registration to a confirmed registration?
No way currently to change failed to confirmed, but in the next release, your paypal transaction will not be marked as failed because of not returning to your site. So the issue will be void.
I know this is an old thread, but I'm raising the questions again. We're not having an issue with Paypal and IPN...all of that works fine.
What I don't like is that if a person selects "pay by mail", the registration automatically goes into "failed attempts." While I can go in and mark them paid when we receive their check, there does not appear to be a way to make them appear in the regular listing.
Furthermore, it looks like registrations that are being held in "failed attempts" are not counting towards my caps on certain registration types (in this case, types of lodging rooms), which is about to lead to overbooking at the event we have live right now.
Wow, this IS very old. Pay Later items should NOT be showing in failed attempts... ever. You are probably experiencing some bug that has been addressed already. I can guarantee that would not be happening if you had the latest package in place. You need to update definitely. Then you'll see pay later records showing with all other records as expected. That will help you for future registrations, but there is no way... outside of direct database modifications... to pull the incorrectly marked failed attempt into an actual registration. For those, I'd recommend manually registering them in the backend once you upgrade and get the bug out of the way.
