TOPIC: Integrating members, users, and registrants

This question is regarding the link between Joomla users, paid members of my organization, and DT Register registrants. This is what I want:

* To be able to attend events as a non-member with a fee

* To have a yearly membership. This would allow no-charge admission to regular events and discount on yearly conference.

How can DT Register help me achieve this? I am using Joomla 1.5.7, JEvents 1.4.3 RC2, and DT Register 2.3.2.
