huh? do you realise that you need JEvents for DT Register to work?

So you need to install the JEvents component and then patch it with the DT Register file that is included in the download. Once that is done then you setup an event in JEvents and then go into DT Register and you can then select the event you created in JEvents to make an event in DT Register.

You can still use Eventlist for your calendar/ events component im pretty sure. Just dont make a menu item link for the JEvents component.

Good answer peetree21 :)

Yes, you must have JEvents. This is stated on the joomla extensions site, our site and anywhere else DT Register is mentioned. As peetree21 said, you do not have to use the frontend of JEvents. You can still use Eventlist. Just use the backend of Jevents, create an event with a title and date, and then you\'re all set for DT Register.

Ok, my dears philosophes here is your description of the software, show me were do you state that Jevents is a requirement!

You write \"DT Register works along with the JEvents calendar component so there is no need to created events twice!\"

So it looks like an option not a requirement.

However this is not a big problem, do you agree? ;-)

Current Version: 2.3.0 (released 11/10/08)

Do you have events that people must register for to attend? Do those events cost money to attend? Well, now you setup online event registration where you can collect the registrant\'s information AND their payment via credit card. As with DT Donate, Register processes payment through the Authorize.net payment gateway (credit card and/or ECheck) AND with PayPal. You can also setup an event as a FREE event.

People can register as an individual, or take advantage of optional discounted group rates. You, as the admin, can also setup a late fee that is automatically added on after a set date. All registration records are kept in the admin and can be exported in a CSV file. DT Register works along with the JEvents calendar component so there is no need to created events twice! You can also create custom form fields to collect additional information. You can also setup member discounts that will automatically apply to users when they are logged in.

When I read all the requirements on the website, my understanding was that JEvents is only required if you want to have a Calendar with the ability to link to DTRegister.

Ok, so the word \"required\" is not in THAT description, however when you install DT Register, you are told this. Guess it could be made more clear, but regardless, the point is that you need it. No big deal... it\'s free so just load it up and you\'ll be all set. :)
