TOPIC: [SOLVED] UserID not populating on Registration Record

I am really new at this and not a programmer so excuse my ignorance in advance.

We have an event set up and are having people register for our event. However on the registration records Iam noticing that the UserID field is blank on some. Is this because when the person registered, they did not login to our website first? If so, is there a way to force registrants to sign in first to register for the event? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Correct. If the user is not logged in, there is no UserID that can be grabbed to associate with the record. You CAN force users to login first if you want by making the event "Private" instead of Public. It will still show to any non-logged in users, but they won't be able to access registration until they login. You can set configuration for private events to display a message to tell people they need to login and whatever else... or instead provide a redirect URL to take the user to where they can login.
