Hi to all,

I would like to ask the following question: Is it possible to add additional fields to an event registration form, but they should be dependent on a previously entered number of people. I offer the option to choose how many people will participate in the registration, and now I want to change the default behaviour which gives me the following two options: Simple Group Registration and Detailed Group Registration (it's about group registrations). if I choose Simple Group Registration, then the form only offers fields for one of the people and if I choose Detailed Group Registration then it offers a separate screen with fields for all of of the participants. Now, I want to use the Simple Group Registration option, but with additional Name and Surname fields for all of the other participants shown on the first(and only) page, not spread across additional pages. Thanks a lot for any help, regards

This is possible IF you have the latest version of DT Register as it's a new feature. Dynamic / Conditional fields have been available for a long time, but not based on group size until recently.

Each field has the conditional area of options. There is a parameter for minimum and maximum group size. You'll need to create a name field for each group member. Assign that field to "Group Billing" as you'll be using the simple option and there are no Member pages. Then set the conditions like this...

Field: MemberName1
Minimum Group Size: 2
Maximum Group Size: leave blank or 0

Field: MemberName2
Minimum Group Size: 2
Maximum Group Size: leave blank or 0

Field: MemberName3
Minimum Group Size: 3
Maximum Group Size: leave blank or 0

Field: MemberName4
Minimum Group Size: 4
Maximum Group Size: leave blank or 0

etc...

So as the group size increases, the number of name fields that qualify to be displayed also increases. This should do the trick :)

I'm terribly sorry, but I have to ask just one more question: I have the following version: Installed Version: 2.7.2c. Is this possible in this version, or does it have to be version 2.7.4? Cause the options that you mentioned are only visible to me in the Event configuration section, not in the Fields configuration section. Thank you a lot for you reply, it was very precise and thorough. Regards!

YIKES! You are using some old stuff! That's near a year and a half old at this point... and no where near as solid as the current version, which is 2.7.16.

What I described here can NOT be accomplished in the older versions. You need the latest package.

Thanks. But how do I do an upgrade of my version exactly? And is it free to upgrade, since I have already paid once for the extension?

i similarly would like to register multiple people for an event and depending on the users choice have the price of the event updated. Based on choosing individual or multiple people.

I'm using 2.7.11, so i'm assuming i need to upgrade to accomplish this? I have np doing so, but would really like to get it working quickly.
