What happened to the different States that would drop down based on Country selection? We used to have Country field listed first and then States, as the states were predicated on the Country selection in 2.7.9c.
If Canada was selected, the the States field changed to Provinces and gave the user the list of Provinces to select as seen here:

This is not a feature that was lost. DT Register out of the box comes with a USA populated state list only. If you had a Canadian list, it's because you added it yourself. You can of course rearrange fields as needed... then make your two different state fields conditional on the country selected.
This is how you'd accomplish this and how you would have done it before. Nothing related to this has changed.
Yes, I did make these Provinces conditional and for those who want to know, here's what we did.
For United States, list the Country Field BEFORE the states with the selected value set to United States (or your country). Then, add a new field for Provinces and set to CANADA as the conditional Country selection.
