DT Reg. 2.7.12, J 1.5.25

I just installed the update to version 2.7.12 and found that Google maps was no longer displaying. On checking the Configuration/Event Listing/Location for the key, I noticed that the Google Maps Key input box was missing. After a bit more detective work, I discovered that the Key line had been deleted from the tab.event_listing.php template. I replaced the missing code from the previous version and it now works fine.

Is there any reason that this code was deleted from the latest version?

The latest Google Maps API

Version 3 does not require an API key

I was also having problems with the Map not showing when I first upgraded to V2.7.12. Then I upgraded to V2.7.12d, and the maps (plus some fee additions issues) now works properly.

I didn't see any announcement of these v2.7.12-sub-versions, but stumbled across a mention of it on another thread.

So, try upgrading (again!!) to v2.7.12d (unless version e is out there already...)

I was running v2.7.12c and experienced the issue which required the fix stated previously. I updated to 2.7.12e and it stopped working again. Today I received notice of the availability of v2.7.13 and once again it doesn't work. I applied the fix and it works again.

Thanks for the tip.

On an unrelated note:

Support tickets at DTH seem to go ignored for an extended period of time. I opened a ticket over four days ago on an unrelated issue and it has not been looked at or assigned. This is the second time my tickets have been ignored. Last May the same thing happened and I finally closed it myself.

Is anyone else having the same experience with DTH support?
