TOPIC: Saving Configuration settings very slow

Hello: I just upgraded from DT Register 2.7.....5 I believe, to 2.7.11. I am setting my Configuration settings and whenever I hit "SAVE," it takes about a minute to save. Almost a hang, but it will eventually save. Is this normal? I a using Joomla 1.5.25.
