TOPIC: Restrict Event Registration to Paid Members (cbsubs)

My site uses cbsubs to track paid members. I need to setup events so that only paid members can register for events. Can someone suggest a good way to do this? (I know that making the event private will restrict event registration to logged in users. But we can have logged in users with expired cbsubs subscriptions - we need to restrict them from event registration as well.)
