TOPIC: Article link not showing in article

Links are not appearing in event article when an article is specified in the event general configuration settings. Here is what happens:
* If an event article is specified in the event configuration and the user clicks on the event title in the event list menu, the link appears in the article. However, if the user navigates to the article by other means such as finding the article in the category page, the link is not in the article. This is without the {dtregister}event_ID{/dtregister} code in the article.
* if the {dtregister}event_ID{/dtregister} code is in the article, the link is in the article regardless of how the user gets to the article.
* In either case, when the link appears, there are always two links in the article. This is a problem.
Maybe my understanding is not correct but I am under the impression that if an event article is specified in the event configuration that the link should appear in the article regardless of how the user navigates to the article. Also that it is not necessary to use the {dtregister}event_ID{/dtregister} code unless the link should appear in other places in the article besides at the bottom of the article. Is that correct? Why would the link appear twice at the bottom of the article? Putting the article ID in the over ride setting seems to make no difference.
