OK - First, I really like this component. I'm having some difficulty setting it up fully though. I created a test event using paypal as the payment gateway. When I get to paypal, I cancel the payment and am brought to the page at the url below:

http://policystudies.ca/index.php?optio ... =5&userId=

As you can see, the main menu has moved into the content field. I tried paying instead of cancelling payment) and the same thing occurs. In both cases, the appropriate message shows up but is hiddent behind the wondering menu module.

Any thoughts?

Hello. Have you created a menu item for DT Register? If so, do you have one that is for the List of Events? That's the default view for DT Reg and what the links will look for to get the Itemid for the url. The Itemid is what modules, templates, etc assign to... and the url you pasted here has no Itemid.

Even if it's not displayed on your site, you need to have a list of events menu item for DT Reg.

Thanks for the advice and promt response.

I did as you suggested and created the menu item. Unfortunately, even though there was now an item id (77) in the url it still did the same thing. I also tried several different configurations, such as:

- experimenting with the options for which tupe of DTH menu item (list of event, event categories, etc.)

- changing the display options for the menu item (public, registered, special)

No joy with anything I tried.

I'm sure this is just a configuration problem, and when it gets resolved I will probably be embarrassed with how simple it was to resolve, but right now it is quite vexing.

One other thing I noticed, btw. When I did use the actual DTH list, clicking on the details link brought me to an error message rather than to the actual article even though I specified that article in my configuration. Odd... but possibly related??

So, any other advice?

Based on your last comment, this sounds like it is SEF related. See this forum post about it:

http://www.dthdevelopment.com/index.php ... 86&p=13831

Do you happen to be using a 3rd party SEF component? If so, make sure it is set to "Skip" DT Register pages.

This will definitely be a configuration issue... and if you can't sort it with suggestions here, submit a ticket and we'll take a look. We can only give educated guesses here :)

Problems fixed!

First, regarding the details page issue - changing the SEF settings in my global configuration fixed the problem immediately.

Second, regarding the menu module changing locations on the payment (or cnacelled payment) confirmation page - it seems that this was a joomla issue from start to finish. my menu module was not the top listed module in my left column (the search module was). By making the main menu module the first in order I was able to resolve the issue. I guess that's just one of thoe bizarre things we all run into with joomla cms.

Anyway, thanks for the help and I hope that by posting this experienc I will be helping others resolve similar perplexing issues in the future.
