Is there a way to have the deposit amount modified depending on user input? Somewhat the way the "Fee Field" allows the final amount to be modified depending on what option is selected by the user.
The price can be modified by any selection field (dropdown, radio button or checkbox) but not by a input text box.
And if you are asking about having the fixed deposit or minimum deposit amount change based on a field selection... there is no way of doing that at this time. That's a fixed amount for each event.
I would appreciate it if the total registration cost also populated the deposit amount field, which is editable - registrants are just blazing past that page without inputing the deposit amount, then getting to the payment processing via credit care - and voila - their credit card is charged $0.00
This is a human error, but is it possible to minimize the potential for human errors by recognizing human nature and compensating for it electronically!
You just need to set a minimum payment amount in the event settings. Then a $0 registration will not be allowed. The user won't be able to proceed without entering an amount that is at least your stated minimum.
Hi, thanks for the reply on this one... it would be great to put a minimum payment amount.
The problem is that the event allows partial payments or payment at registration, then this makes it difficult... it would be great if the deposit amount was autopopulated by default and still editable by purchasors if they wish to make partial payment, purchase order payment or pay at the event option, as I would imagine that the majority of event registrants would be performing immediate payment.
Any other thoughts on how this could work with minimum error?
The other great option would be confirmation of the dollar amount being paid throughout the rest of the process, particularly on the billing information page, as we have had registrants totally miss the depost amount field, then fill in all other information, process credit card, then find out that it was a $0 sum payment.
Were there is a human, there is a potential for error. Helping us humans more would be great!
