TOPIC: Events randomly duplicate and randomly appear closed?

Hi.

My events seem to be randomly closing and duplicating when I choose to repeat the event and specify an end date sometime in the future under the General tab under Events. And also on some repeated event dates, I don't even get Register button (which I've changed to "Book Now") appearing. See Attachment.

I've created 3 walking events and repeated them weekly (same walks every week), and then wanted to make them available for booking right now, even though they are only taking place in July and August.

Not sure what bug is happening here. I am using the latest Joomla install and the lastest version of DT Register and I followed the install instruction to a T.

Need some help please, can private message my admin details if you could take a look please in the back-end?

Sorry that your post was not replied to sooner Arts. Tickets get higher priority as the forum is intended more user to user support, but we certainly chime in here too. Anyway...

For repeat events that do not have a Register button... this would not be a bug, but your own setup. That is the "Register Open Date" that is set in each event. As explained in other posts and in the video tutorials... when you set an open date for a repeating event, an open date will also be added to each repeat. It is NOT the SAME date, but will be created dynamically based on the distance from the actual start date. Example...

If your event is June 15 and the open date is June 1, that is 14 days prior to the event. So say you have a weekly repeat and the next occurrence is June 22. The open date for that repeat will automatically be June 8. So, if you want all repeats to immediately have active registration, you should leave the open date setting blank when you create the initial repeat event. That setting is not required anyway and is only needed if you need to delay registration from opening.

Be aware that this same thing applies to the Cut-off date. Thanks.
