TOPIC: Add text to List of Events menu item?

We're using DTRegister 2.7.4b along with Community Builder 1.4. We want to encourage people to log in before registering for an event, so the registration form is prepopulated, and so they can cancel their registration if needed.

I would like to add text above the event listsing, but I can't figure out how to do that though. In the configuration screen, I don't see an option to put text on that screen.

Is there a way to do that? I know I can edit the language file, but won't that get overwritten when I upgrade?
