TOPIC: credit card processing thru iphone

We currently are using DT register for our events and authorize.net as our payment gateway. We want to be able to take credit cards onsite and process the credit cards. How do we link the credit card payment to DT register? is there an iphone credit card app that syncs with community builder and Dt register?

This is for onsite conference registration only.

any help on this?

There isn't any type of iphone credit card app that I am aware of that will sync with DT Register. Is this a person that is going to be already registered for your event and then you are just taking payment when they arrive? Or are you trying to register them and take payment at the conference?

well we are going to have both types.

1. register at event, onsite, and take all their information for the event like a new registration and process payment. this could be done on the front end of dt register.

2. user already registered for event, however said they would pay at the door, and we need to take their credit card processing at the door before they get into the event.

You've pretty much answered the first one with the only way I can see to do it.

For the second option, it will probably have to be a two step process where you process the credit card though authorize.net virtual terminal or something like square on the iphone and then mark them as paid in DT Register. The other option for the second one (I believe) is the user should be able to log back into their account at the registration table and make the payment through DT Register. That probably won't be the smoothest process at a registration table though as you will have customers not remembering their login/passwords. Personally, I think the slickest method would be using the Square card reader. Registrant comes up, you pull up their record in DT Register Admin, swipe their card on your iphone/ipad, comes back as approved, and you click the paid button in DT Register.
