Guys, we will work to get an OPTION added in for this soon. We'll chew on it a bit to determine the best way to implement and get it done. Thanks for the input.

Hi,

I too am finding the multiple event registration system workflow confusing. I am new to the system, so if this system exists and I haven't found out how to configure it. Currently there seem to be so many un-necessary steps and form filling to register for events.

Scenario:
1) New user clicks register on event.
2) Asked to enter username and registration
3) User checks out & pays
4) user logs into website
5 User clicks register on another event
6) user is presented with form to fill in (some fields have not auto populated)
7) User clicks add another event
8 ) User clicks register on another event
9) user is presented with another form to fill in (again some fields have not auto populated)
10) etc.. etc...

Would it not be most user friendly if events could be added to the cart (like an online store) and then users could checkout and fill in registration details at the end? This would bring the system in line with what users are used to when shopping online, so useability would be much more predictable.

I am at the stage where I am considering creating only the one registration form, and listing all events as fee based check box fields. This defeats the purpose of purchasing this component, however from an end users point of view would save ALOT of confusion.

Regards,
Paul

Sorry to dredge up an old post, however I'm looking to see if DTH has implemented the items listed below. I'm looking for something for soccer registration.

Thanks

Don't want to take this off topic but for what we are doing we would actually love the ability to have multiple user creation through multiple event reg .
If you remember we are running a soccer club site which has the parents sign up for a membership then register their children .

We did exactly as you described and never set multiple reg and only used single reg to create each reg and user accounts . But in saying that it would have been 1000 times better if the parents just had to use one form or process to create all registrations and accounts in one go ( also would keep their Reg Records all under the same Reg ID making it easier to locate them ) .
I suppose this is more for the wishlist section but i thought it was relevant to this thread .

eg.
Father :- John Doe signs up for Club Membership and wants a site account as well ( joomla account )
Son 1 :- son1 Doe needs to be signed up by his parent/guardian ( for legal reasons ) and needs an account as well ( for forum, jomsocial etc )
Son 2 : son2 ( same as above

And so on

to do this multiple times is time consuming and annoying for the customers . So if multiple user creation could be implemented with multiple reg I would be very happy :D .

Either way DtReg rocks !

In the new 2.7.12, the cart feature is a little more user friendly. Previously, the only auto-population was if the user was logged in and had data in their profile that was set to sync to DT Register. That works just fine, but not everyone uses login. So now, if you are not logged in, when you go to register for another event, the form fields will auto-populate from data that is already entered for another event that is sitting in the cart. When logged in, the profile overrules the cart. This should help some people a lot.
