TOPIC: [SOLVED] Calndar view categories/colors issue

I'm using DT Register version 2.7.3c

I understand that there seems to be no way to display multiple colors/categories on the calendar. This is a huge issue, as events on my calendar are separated by color for event locations.

The other big issue I have with this is that when the calendar is loaded, ALL the events seem to pick up a color from one of the existing categories, thus causing it to appear as if ALL the events are under a single category, until a separate category is selected. Is there a way to remove this? Or change the color?

Do you know when display of multiple categories will be enabled? Or barring that, when location differentiation will be available? (It was listed in a forum post as "coming soon" a couple of months back.)

Any solutions for this issue would be greatly appreciated. I really need to differentiate locations easily, and the only other way that I've seen to do so involved adding the location to the calendar text, which takes up a huge amount of room.

Hello. You can and always have been able to show all categories together in the calendar... each with its own specified color. There is not a location view for the calendar, yet, but I see you are using location as the category which is fine. When you create your calendar menu item, do NOT select any category and that link will give you all categories by default.

If that's the case, then could you tell me what's going wrong with mine?

Here are screenshots of how my calendar is functioning. Never seen that actually happen before. You need to log a ticket so we can check it out. Make sure you have the latest version in place first.

This is the same thing with me. You can still see the default color (brown) as the calendar loads up, then it will change to my customized color (light green) when it finished loading. This is OK with me, but the default color (brown) can still be seen on the edges of the event.
I can't find in any css files where I can fix this.

Yes, there the default color shows as a slight outline around the background category colors. You can change that outline color in this file:

/components/com_dtregister/assets/js/calendar/jquery.calendar.js

There is a long string of color hexadecimal values all strung together. The default color is #a78e67 so just search for "a78e67" (without quotes) and you'll find it. Change those 6 characters to something else for the border color.
