TOPIC: Barcode Scanner Documentation

It would be super helpful if there was a tutorial showing how to implement the barcode scanner feature. I have a client that is in need of this kind of system. Has anyone used a barcode scanner to check people into an event? If so, could you tell me where you bought the scanner, the software used, and the best way to set it up? I would be willing to pay to have someone set this up for us or at least provide the tutorial.

Hello. DT Register can generate the barcodes but we do not have a scanning system that ties into DT Register for check-in. If you want to discuss a solution for this as a custom project, contact us via email and we can discuss that further. Thanks.

What barcode scanner have you seen used?

if we can find someone with good skills, perhaps they can look at the opensource code of fusion ticket to create a plug for enabling barcode scan access the database for check-in.

There are bar code reading interfaces for iphones and smart phones and bar code scanners available for sale on the internet and on ebay.
