TOPIC: Component running slow.

I installed DT Register 2.7.x for Joomla 1.5.x a couple days ago and the component is running very slow (specifically when adding Events via the back-end). Other components have not slowed down, and the site has not either.

I know some of this has to do with the Joomla platform, SQL and PHP in general...but is there a way to speed up DT?
