Just wondering why auto user creation is not a global option any more?
Then ability to override per event as many other functions?
Having to set this per event is an extra training issue for my customers (managers) creating events , whereas the decision to auto create users is generally something wanted across the website and set strategically.
This was moved to a per event setting based on many users request for that. Maybe we'll consider changing it to an override setting... more likely, we could make a global setting for a default option in the event. The changes give you much more control now... as before it was always required. Many didn't want it to be required.
ckopeny - if your users are not being created, it is most likely due to you not having user creation enabled in the Joomla global configuration. That is required.
ckopeny - there is no loss of functionality ever... just added or enhanced. There was never an auto-login. DT Register doesn't ever log the user in or out. There is auto user creation though... which is what I assume you meant to say. It is just not global anymore, as you set it PER EVENT. On the first tab in event settings you enable/disable that feature and set whether you want it to be optional or required.
the added advantage is that once the user logs in to the site
if they then register for an event, DT register will auto fill in the registration form with their user details held by Community Builder
saving them having to re-enter their details every time
