TOPIC: Generate PDF Invoice upon registration?

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I can send users a Tax Invoice (as a PDF) when someone registers for an event.

This can either be as an attachment to the initial welcome email, or as an additional email sent afterwards (but should be automatic).

In our case all registrations are for businesses, so they need a tax invoice for their records. Also they can only pay up front via credit card, so all registrations are paid in full by the time they finish the registration process.

Is it a standard document, or custom for each program?

If standard, there is an option to attach a file to the custom thank you e-mail available on every program. I don't think it's available for the generic thank you.

You may want to check into DT Billing... by the same developer. He may have some integration that we don't know about. It's a long shot, but seems to be a fit.

As girlscout said... you can attach a static file to the confirmation email. You can create a custom email using graphics, HTML, etc and make the email look like an invoice or whatever else you need. We've seen many other users do this. You can not create a dynamic PDF file though.

Regarding DT Billing, that is an older product of ours that does NOT work properly beyond Joomla 1.0. Thanks.

I ended up creating an HTML invoice and using it as the "Change Status" message. So when a record is changed from "Processing" to "Active", they automatically get sent their invoice.
