TOPIC: Free event asking for CC info

We have an event that has a 100% discount code that certain users will have access to. The issue is that when the code is used, it still asks for the CC information and doesn't allow the person to continue without putting it in.

The price, when added to the cart, is $0.00, and yet it still requires CC info.

Please help.

I am running 2.7.2d, so if this was a fix in 2.7.2e, I will gladly upgrade, but I've seen a lot of issues on the board with that version and I don't want to take a working site down.

Jake - the only difference between d and e is the fix for free events Definitely you need to update.2.7.2e does not have lots of problems... as long as setups are cool in most cases. Anyway, 2.7.3 is about ready for release which addresses lots of outstanding items. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I was about to post that we ran a test of e on a demo site of ours with the same event and it seemed to work, so thanks!

This one was mission critical on a number of different levels, so I really appreciate it.

Also, I was having a really hard time finding documentation of a changelog and feature change. It's always difficult to come on here and find out what version is current.

Jake, go to the announcement category of this forum. EVERY new package update gets a new thread in that category announcing the release, and lists everything that was fixed or added. Thanks.

I'm afraid that this problem was not eliminatet completely.
I created two checkboxes with fees, and even they are not checked, the event asks for the CC info. If I remove the checkbox fields, the problem is also gone.
Furthermore when mandatory fields are not filled, the module not shows the problematic fields, just goes to the next page.

My version is 2.7.3a

laky - payment details will only be asked if there is any fee calculated for your event... from someone in the event setup. Sounds like you may have something not setup right, but hard to say. Please submit a ticket and we'll take a look. In the ticket provide plenty of detail including the specific field you are talking about, what event, etc. Thanks.
