If that doesn't work . Disable multiple Event registration for your events in 18 hours
We did and that sorted a myriad of problems :D

Heya ismadman,

Thanks for the response!

Just tried it and unfortunately still no go. :(

Hoping dthadmin will be able to take a look soon.

dthadmin, can you please spend some time on this thread or the ticket?

I'm trying to be really patient with the DTH Development team. For various reasons, DT Register 2.7.x has *never* worked on my live site. None of the 14 versions/patches since 2.7.0 has worked. Throughout this time, I have several tickets communicating my issues. It's February 4th and my current ticket, opened 1/31, has been without response for over 2 days.

My previous ticket was closed by myself after no response from DTH Development for an extended period of time. My current ticket is getting similar treatment (48 hours since a response of "upgrade your Joomla because it has security and mail upgrades" when my main problem has been people can't register for events and was stated as such in this thread and the ticket). That answer was given quickly and without attention to detail provided in the ticket. Still, I was content with the fact that I had gotten a response.

I have seen you in here dutifully answering people's problems in here, that's cool, and I've also been in here doing the same -- trying to help people out -- but I'm not feeling the love. I don't understand how a paying customer can be left behind for over 2 months(!). Is it because my tickets in the past have involved a test server and things weren't broken on the live server? Did my priority in the ticket queue drop down because planning and foresight meant that my problems didn't affect any real customers?

I don't understand the delay in responding to my help requests. I have been civil in all my posts. I'm helping people in-forum. I have offered to PayPal $100 to you in order to get some of your time (and the offer still stands). I've given you a URL to download a backup of my site that you can make live on your end and play around with the database (where I think the problem lies -- within the jos_dtregister tables). What does it take to get support from DTH Development?

Help! Please!!

I've closed the ticket.

I went ahead and manually deleted all DTRegister-related tables in MySQL (after uninstalling DT Register from the Joomla 1.5.22 installation) then reinstalled DTRegister.

I'm still running into some problems with this fresh installation, but I'll post separately in the forum for it.

Did the uninstall/delete/reinstall resolve the mail issue? I'm currently having an issue very similar to what you discribed and I need to get this working ASAP.

Hey GameCon,

Here's what I got from dthadmin in my ticket which solved the mail problem for me:

You have a setup issue. Go to Configuration -> Emails. Then check the Admin notification email. It's blank! You need to configure this email AND subject. The warning you get is because it's trying to send that email and there's nothing there.

Also, you need to fix your thanks email as you have some old dead tags there like [CONTACT_DETAILS]. Only use tags that are seen on the left of the emails.

It wasn't (and in my still isn't) intuitive that we are *required* to put anything in that field, but it does make sense. Hopefully this fixes things for you. It didn't fix everything for me as you've read in the thread, but it helped that specific mailing problem.

The rest of the answer, which also might apply to you was answered this morning in my (closed) ticket:

I see on your http://xxx.xxxxxxxxx.org site, you do not have BCMath enabled in php, which is needed with changes that were made in 2.7.2e. This was not an issue for most people, but as it has been for some, the 2.7.3 package, due out in another day or so, removes the BCMath need again.

without that, in 2.7.2e, you will not have any success with paid registrations. So either jump back to 2.7.2c until we have the new package ready, or get BCMath enabled in your php configuration.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

So you might be fixed by going back down to 2.7.2c as well. For me, I'll stay where I'm at in "blank confirmation" mode until the new release is put out which (crossing fingers) fixes my issues once and for all. I might even go so far as reload an old backup which will restore my 18 months' worth of history too, but am not sure at this point.

Hope that helps...

Cheers!
