I have a new file now in my dtregister directory, it's called 'lib/payment/ipnlog.html' This file is growing rapidly, and looks to be some sort of debug log. Is there a way to turn it off?

I have just used DT Register for the first time on a live event. 140 riders registering an paying via PayPal. I tohught the site was getting really slow, and found out a potential issue when my host emailed me to say my site was getting close to it's 400MB limit - when the site should only be about 80mb in size.

I downloaded the whole site onto HDD, and found that there was a 147MB ipnlog.html file !!

What does this file do and why is it so large?

The reason I nearly hit the buffers on size was that I'd done an Akeeba backup of the whole site and for some reason Akeeba didn't compress the ipnlog.html file so I have nearly 300MB sitting on my site.

Can soeone shed some light on this? I've read other posts about this file having a 1.2MB update to it for every PayPal return to merchant, which would tally with my 140 registrants, as some of those were manually entered.

Really need assistance on this as the site would be too slow to market it any further, and I need to resolve the obvious issues before I can move it forward.

Look forward to some assistance soon.

Guys, this file is not needed. It was only for testing. You can delete it anytime, but it will be re-created. However in the new 2.7.3 that is near release is modified so this file is no longer created. For now, just keep deleting it. Once you can update to the next package, you won't have the file being created and growing again. thanks.
