TOPIC: [SOLVED] captcha image not displayed so registration blocked

Hi all,
we installed DT Register (only the com_dtregister2_7_2a_J15.zip file) on our web-site developed on Joomla 1.5.22 on a Linux hosting, and we are experiencing some problems on registration page: the captcha image is not showed, and instead of the generated image we have the X (on IE, meaning no image on the url; by the way, an example of url is the following: [url=http://my_site/components/com_dtregister/CaptchaSecurityImages.php?width=100&height=40&characters=5]http://my_site/components/com_dtregiste ... aracters=5[/url]).

Unfortunately we must use captcha, we can't simply disable it.
Does anyone have any idea of what is the problem or suggestions to solve it?

Here are things that could cause the captcha image to fail:

1) Permissions are wrong. Make sure all of your directories are 755 and files are 644.

2) PHP configuration must have the GD library enabled with FreeType support.

I actually don't know what I changed but it works
I don't think this is the solution but as future memories I gave +x permission to file CaptchaSecurityImages.php
