Something seems to have changed w/ the new version of the EventLink plugin. If I set an event to be "private" my users should still see the register now link on the event description, but they should be given the notification about the "private" status that I can set in DT Register's config, correct (either a redirect URL or an onscreen message).
As it is now, if I set an event to "private", the plugin doesn't fire, so there's no link on the event (I'm still using Jevents for the calendar, so these are not "native" DT Register events). If I set the event as "public" the plugin works, and I get a link -- but now there's nothing to force my participants to register first. I can roll my own registration link to place on the event listing in Jevents, but that sort of defeats the purpose of the plugin?
I 2nd ameridane on this post. If a event is private, then the EvenLink should still take them to the event so that we can use our mad marketing skills to encourage them to register.
We just released a new version 2.7.2. Both the component and plugin are updated. The plugin is much improved... this is one item that was addressed in the plugin. Thanks.
