I upgraded to 2.7.1 from 2.6.8e and now I'm missing the names and email addresses from my list of previous event registration records?

Those first two columns are blank? Any thoughts anyone?

Which version of 2.7.1 did you go to? There was a bug with upgrades with a few of the later versions of 2.7.0 and early versions of 2.7.1. I upgraded to 2.7.1C and it worked fine. I'm not sure if there is a way to get that info back into your records though. It has something to do with creation of new fields.

I did download the latest upgrade and had the issue with that one. Yes, your right about reverting back to 2.6.8e, I did have to dump the database tables and import in my backup otherwise they would have been lost. Always backup that SQL.

I think I'll stick with 2.6.8e until the 2.7 versions are more stable. Thanks for your feedback.

I'd put in a ticket since most of those types of bugs have been squashed. I don't remember exactly, but you MIGHT have to go to 2.6.9 before you go to 2.7.x... I don't remember if 2.6.8 was acceptable for the upgrade.

Right, I saw that and he has two conflicting Read-Me files. I read the one for the 2.7.1 upgrade and it said:

/// UPGRADING FROM DT REGISTER 2.6.9 or OLDER ///

1. Make sure you have first upgraded to version 2.6.8 or 2.6.9 of DT Register before you upgrade to 2.7!! This is very important! The 2.6.9 component installation file is included inside of the 2.7 package. Follow the upgrade instructions in that file to upgrade. THEN come back here and continue to upgrade to 2.7.

So, here he states that 2.6.8 was acceptable? Maybe not?

I have a ticket in to Nathan for an explanation before I go through this again. Thanks for the reply.

jstratos - no need to go back. I'm assuming you did not follow the FULL upgrade instructions in the latest 2.7 package. Often times after the initial upgrade, the records do not appear complete. The instructions tell you to go to the new DT Register control panel and click the "Migrate 2.6. Records" button. This tool will go through and update all of your records appropriately. We removed that action from the actual install process to lighten the load on the install process... also it works better this way too.

That provided tool will get your records in order. Go through each point of the instructions and you'll be fine.
