TOPIC: [SOLVED] Calendar icons not working

none of the calender helper icons/buttons work, when creating a new event.When I create a new event and click on the Calendar icon, the calendar does not appear to pick a date. Also, the start event time field is always showing an error, so I cannot save an event. I have tried changing the time, but nothing works.

Has anyone got the 2.7.1d to work? Not being able to create an event, is huge. At this point we gave up on migrating the data from 2.6.9, since none of the events showed up after upgrading. So we are willing to create new events and start fresh, but now that is not working.

Any suggestions would be great. Should we simply go back to 2.6.9 and redo all our work and abandon any updates until there is a stable release?

We are experiencing the same issue since we upgraded to v2.7.2, the IE8 error log shows a problem with "calendar.js" but the calendar is working fine for other components. Here's the full error...

Does anyone have an answer? We upgraded to the current version 2.7.5f and this is still a problem.

I solved the problem by replacing the FCK editor with JCK editor.

This is a very old thread that has been revived... but for those who are unsure, this is not talking about the actual frontend calendar... but the icon used to click and select the date for the events. There were issues with this in older versions, but haven't been for a while now. If you do have any such issue, it will be because of something else in your site causing a conflict.

As zagai mentioned, the editor is a possible problem with event creation as the editor is loaded for a couple of the tabs. The FCK Editor is HORRIBLE and is known to cause all sorts of problems. The newer CK Editor is better, but still can be a problem on some sites. We always recommend JCE, which is free, and the best one available in our opinion.
