How can I use the DT Reg Calendar to list and promote an event for which there is no registration?
This happens when I'm delivering a public presentation for an organization but no registration is needed or desired for it. I'm guessing there must be a way to do this. Ideally, the event would display in the calendar and would link to an article but there would be no reg form for it. Thanks!
Yes, you can list an event (list or calendar) without having active registration. To do this, simply set the "Registration Open Date" to any date AFTER the event. This means the registration will never open... so it will just simply list the event with no registration functionality.
I am using this technique to promote an event on my site without offering registration. It works fine except that the Details article for this event displays (via the EventLink plugin) a "Register Now!" button along with the "View All Events" button and a "Select Event" dropdown.
Is there a way to disable the "Register Now!" button for this event's Details article only (or, for any events for which I'd prefer not to offer registration)? I'd like to keep it active for the Details articles for the events that do offer registration.
I would like to have certain events not have the registration link also. Is there a way to use the DT Register EventLink plugin, but exclude "register now" button on some events? I'm using DT Register 2.7.3c and DT Register EventLink plugin 2.7.3
